Toyota Auris
The Toyota Auris is a car produced by the Japanese carmaker Toyota in the segment over the Yaris. It is a two-volume sedan hatchback, 3 or 5 doors and succeeding in this form to the Toyota Corolla in Europe; Corolla which is still produced on the same platform with a specific body in three volumes. In Europe, the Auris and Corolla coexist except in Germany, France, Britain, Italy and Switzerland, where only the first is available. In Australia, the Auris is called… Corolla.
The Auris is marketed since 2 January 2013.
Toyota Auris (1), is marketed in France since March 2007.
The cabin roomier than might suggest its category (and appearance), consists of a central console forming an arch. The dashboard and instrumentation are also original. The appearance of two small green arrows (one pointing up, the other down), indicates to the driver the best time to change gear.

Auris word is derived from Latin word aurum meaning gold (nobility of gold).
Launched in October 2006 in Japan, the Auris there is a fairly quiet career (and 5-door only), in the shadow of the Corolla remains one of the best-selling Toyota in his home country. In 2010, the Corolla wins seventh place in the Japanese market, with 94,024 sales while the Auris does not point that at the 61st place with only 18,606 copies.
Japanese Auris range of dispense diesel and offers two petrol engines 1.5 liter or 1.8 liter exclusively associated with an automatic variator (CVT). In Japan, the Auris is also available in four-wheel drive.
A more luxurious and more powerful version with a 2.4 liter petrol (167hp) or even a 3.5-liter V6 (280hp) is also available under the name Blade.
Toyota markets since the summer of 2010 a hybrid version of the Auris. This version uses the Hybrid Synergy Drive system in the third-generation Prius, with a combined output of 136hp max.
The 1.8-liter engine with 99hp Atkinson cycle is coupled to two electric motors with a total output of 82hp.

It is longer and less with 4,275 m high with 1,460 m and 1,760 m with the same width.
The most powerful non-hybrid is 132hp and 136hp hybrid made.
