Toyota 86
Toyota GT86 – a Japanese sports car with a coupé body Toyota produced since March 16, 2012, along with the twin variant – Subaru BRZ from which it differs only in a few details. The name refers to the car AE86 Corolla of the mid-80s. Conceptual version of the vehicle was known as the Toyota FT-86. In a plebiscite on the European Car of the Year 2013, together with the Subaru BRZ model took second position (for VW Golf VII).
A few months after the start of production, the producer added the ability to buy a GT86 with a special aerodynamic package consisting of a large rear spoiler, redesigned bumper and new overlays on thresholds. As provided by the manufacturer, these components significantly improve downforce the car to the ground.
The prototype Toyota GT86 – model FT-86 made its debut at the Tokyo Motor Show 2009. Model FT-86 Concept has been designed in a European Toyota’s ED2 studio located in the Nice. The designers were inspired by the styling car prototype Toyota FT-HS, which debuted at the Detroit Auto Show 2007.
The standard car is equipped with a rear spoiler low lamps, LED daytime running, fog lamps, keyless system, aluminum pedals, leather finish gear lever and steering wheel, dual zone automatic air conditioning, Toyota Touch multimedia system, stability control VSC containing ABS, TRC, EBD, BA and a system of Hill Start Assist, Isofix mounting.
Limited Edition GT86. Version Cup Edition distinguish new wheels and a few minor stylistic elements. With the appearance of a special version differs from the usual paint, which is available in three colors (black, white and red), and a small spoiler on the trunk lid.
