Nissan Pulsar
Datsun Pulsar or Nissan Pulsar was the name of several generations of cars – the compact segment – manufactured by the Japanese manufacturer Datsun-Nissan. They were sold outside of Japan, is under the same name or under different names.
Nissan Pulsar N10, produced and sold in Japan under the name, was sold in North America, Australia and New Zealand under the name Datsun Pulsar and in Europe under the name Datsun Cherry III.
Nissan Pulsar N12 was sold in Europe under the name Nissan Cherry N12, Canada and the United States under the name Nissan Sentra B11 and in Mexico under the name Datsun and Nissan Tsuru I (versions 4 and 5 doors) and Nissan Samurai (3-door).
Nissan Pulsar N13 was sold in Europe under the name Nissan Sunny N13, North America and New Zealand under the name Nissan Sentra B12 and in Australia under the name Holden Langley Sedan hatchback 3 or 5 doors) or Nissan Pulsar Vector (4 Door Saloon).
Nissan Pulsar N14 or Nissan California (wagon version) was sold in Europe under the name Nissan Sunny N14, Taiwan and New Zealand under the name Nissan Sentra (which is unrelated to the Sentra sold in America North, the N14 Pulsar was not sold in North America) or California (wagon version).
Nissan Pulsar N15 or Nissan Lucino was sold in Europe under the name Nissan Almera I.
Nissan Pulsar N16 (Sedan SUV or hatchback 3 or 5 doors) or Nissan Bluebird Sylphy (4 Door Saloon) was sold in Europe under the name Nissan Almera II. 4-door version took the name Nissan Sunny in Singapore, Thailand and China, and the name Nissan Sentra in Taiwan, the Philippines, Malaysia and Indonesia.
The new generation of Nissan Pulsar to be launched in Australia and New Zealand in January 2013 is a Nissan Sylphy, Made in Thailand (called Sentra in North America) which is on sale in China and Japan.
