Mercedes-Benz 540K
Mercedes-Benz 540K – luxury car manufactured by Mercedes-Benz in the years 1936 to 1940, was named interior W24.
It was presented at the 1936 Paris Motor Show, structurally a development model 500K, which in turn, derived from the Mercedes-Benz SSK. 540K was available as a 2-seater convertible, 4-seater coupé and 7-seater limousine.
Gasoline engine R8 familiar with 500K was enlarged to a capacity of 5401 cm ³. It achieved a maximum output of 117hp (86 kW), like its predecessor appeared Roots compressor start-up raised the value of the power to 183hp (130 kW). This allows the vehicle to accelerate to 170km/h.
