Mercedes-Benz 260D
Mercedes-Benz 260D – car upper-medium class manufactured by Mercedes-Benz in the years 1936 to 1940, was named interior W138. The vehicle was available as: convertible, sedan and Landaulet. Used to drive a diesel engine R4 OHV 2.5-liter and a maximum power of 45hp (33 kW) at 3000 rev./Min. It is considered the first mass-produced car with a diesel engine. The drive was transferred to the rear axle initially by a 3-speed manual transmission with overdrive, and later by a fully synchronized 4-speed gearbox. It was established less than 2,000 copies of the model.
