Catastrophe American Airlines flight 77 – American Airlines flight 77 was a morning plane, which took place regularly travel from Washington-Dulles to Los Angeles. September 11, 2001 between the hours of 8:51 and 8:54 the plane was hijacked, but about 9:37 wrecked by the Pentagon as part of the September 11 attacks.
The crash killed all 64 people on board the aircraft (including five hijackers and six crew members) and 125 people on the ground. It was the third plane crashed this morning, thirty minutes after the second plane hit the World Trade Center.
Boeing 757-223 pilots used to fly that day were Charles Burlingame and Dave Charlebois.
