Lincoln Futura

The Lincoln Futura was a design study by Ghia, which was commissioned by Ford in order. The handcrafted, unique piece was introduced in 1955. The construction costs were $ 250,000.

Particularly flamboyant were two separate passenger compartment hoods reminiscent of jet fighter cockpits, and the large tail fins. The chassis was taken from the Lincoln Mark II. The tail fins have been incorporated into production models, and the Futura was in the film It Started with a Kiss, painted red, the automobile major role. George Barris bought the car and turned it in 1966 for the Batman TV series Batmobile for.
