Ford Model S
Ford Modeling Agency, now known as Ford Models, is a modeling agency founded in 1946 by Eileen and Jerry Ford.
The company was the lead agency in New York, until John Casablancas of Elite Model Management agency was established in the city, leading the battle of modeling in the 1980s. Ford, like many of the agencies created in the 1970s, has lost ground to the new agencies such as Women, IMG and DNA, in recent years.
The company has represented several celebrities, including Janice Dickinson, Alaina Gaines, Kellan Lutz, Christie Brinkley, Yasmin Parvaneh, Courteney Cox, Rachel Hunter, Stephanie Seymour, Vendela, Veronica Webb, Raven-Symone, Ali Larter, Xuxa, Lindsay Lohan, Ashley Tisdale, Mischa Barton, and Ashley Benson Axel Tiderman.
In 1980, Ford established the Ford Supermodel of the World contest, which attracts over 60,000 hopeful models worldwide.
In recent years, the company has diversified through Ford and Ford Media Artists, to represent artists from other areas related to modeling. It has also carried out an aggressive promotional campaign in the YouTube website, where shows videos fashion advice and self-help messages, telling tragic stories in the modeling industry.
