Fiat Barchetta
Fiat Barchetta (pronounced barketta) – a small, two-seater with a folding roof and front hand drive produced in 1995-2005.
The car was designed by Andreas Zapatinas, of Greek origin, who had previously worked in the studio Pininfarina. Often mistakenly classified as a convertible (in fact, true convertibles have rear seats). The car was built on the floorpan Tipo B, used to build the Fiat Punto and generation. The feature that distinguishes turn Barchetta from typical roadsters (such as the Mazda MX-5) is a front-wheel drive. Engine 1.8 (among other things known for its sports Punto HGT) in combination with a small mass of the vehicle and ensures a decent good acceleration performance.
Auto presented for the first time at the Geneva Motor Show in 1995. In Poland, however, appeared only in 2001. Since 2004, he was offered a model of the face-lift, with the revised front, and added a third brake light on the trunk lid. Production of the Barchetta was completed in mid-2005.
