Ferrari Ascari
Alberto Ascari (born July 13, 1918 in Milan, d. 26 May 1955 at the Autodromo Nazionale di Monza) – Italian racing driver, two-time champion in Formula 1
Born in Milan, Italy, and wyścigiami interested in by her father Antonio Ascari, driver of Grand Prix racing in the 20th century as a driver of Alfa Romeo. Antonio died during the French Grand Prix in 1925.
As a young boy he participated in motorcycle racing; this was after he entered the prestigious Mille Miglia sports car Ferrari where he eventually went on to race cars.
His career was interrupted by World War II, after which he began to compete in the Grand Prix with Maserati. His team mate was Luigi Villoresi, who became his mentor and friend. Alberto Ascari his first Grand Prix win in San Remo (Italy) in 1948 and the same race in the same team next year. After joining the team Villoresi Ferrari; won three consecutive races in the team.
The first official Formula 1 season took place in 1950. Ferrari team made its debut at the Monaco Grand Prix along with Ascari, Villoresi and Raymond Sommer. Ascari finished the race second. In the same season, took second place in the first race of the Formula 1 at Monza in Italy. He was fifth in the championship. The first victory in the Grand Prix Formula One season came in 1951 at the Nürburgring in Germany, and the second at Monza.
After the success in Europe Ferrari Enzo has provided Alberta car in the Indianapolis 500 was the only European driver in Indy in the eleven-year history of the race in Formula 1, but for him it ended after 40 laps. It was the only time I have not won a race this season. Ferrari Ascari dominated the 1952 season, winning six of the seven races in Europe and claimed the fastest lap in the six races.
At the start of the season in 1953 won the first three races, which gave him nine victories in a row. His streak ended in fourth place in France. The main rivals in the race were competitors Ferrari and Maserati. This year was even two wins, as a result of winning a second title.
The 1954 season started in four races, was not able to finish any of them. Twice it failed Maserati cars, and one case of Ferrari and Lancia. He won, however, 1.14 points for the two fastest laps (seven drivers received after 0.14 point for setting the best lap time in the Grand Prix of Great Britain). That same year, Ascari won the race Mille Miglia.
In the season 1955, as the last race of the previous year, represented the Scuderia Lancia. In two races, which started not able to get to the finish line. In the second, which took place in Monaco, crashed his car on the dock and fell into the water. A week later, on May 26, tested the new Ferrari car at Monza. He was killed in an accident on one of the tight corners, but his death still has not been explained. Bend, in which died, bears his name – the Variante Ascari.
