Dodge Phoenix
The Dodge Phoenix was a car that was built from 1960 to 1973 by Chrysler Australia. The Phoenix was introduced in 1960 as the Australian version of the U.S. Dodge Dart and joined as a luxury model above the assembled in Australia Chrysler Royal one. Was named the car of the top model of the Dodge Dart series, the Dodge Dart Phoenix. Unlike its American namesake, the Phoenix was offered only as a 4-door sedan and only with 5.2 l V8 engine.
In the wake of the Phoenix every year together with the respective U.S. Dodge model was (initially the Dart, later, the Polara) were revised to a change in strategy for the model year 1965, Phoenix was the first time based on the Plymouth Fury. As the U.S. Fury 1965 also had the Phoenix of the same vintage superposed dual headlights. In 1967, in addition to the sedan a four-door hardtop sedan, with a 6.3 l V8 engine was fitted, while the normal sedan still retained the 5.2 liter V8.
