The Datsun DA was the first post-war car of the automobile manufacturer Datsun. After the end of the Second World War, the Nissan Motor Company was hit hard financially. Much of the production was stopped in 1944, as many factories were damaged by bombing. Due to the time required for the Japanese military capacity for military vehicles, passenger car production in 1938 was almost completely set.

1946 Nissan began preparations for the commencement of production. Factories were rebuilt and repaired and the first post-war passenger cars Datsun, Datsun DA, was designed.
