The 2005 GM Sequel

The General Motors Sequel was presented in 2005 at the North American International Motor Show in Detroit as a concept car.

Fuel cell technology is based on the HydroGen3 Opel and provides 94 kW. A lithium-ion battery supports the fuel cell as an energy store. This accumulator can in turn contribute 65 kW. For the four-wheel drive of 60 kW front-engine, two 25 kW wheel hub motors in the rear wheels provide. A top speed of 145km/h are specified, the acceleration is from 0 to 100km/h in 10 seconds. The systems designed for 700 bar pressure tanks can select up to 8kg of hydrogen.

2006 an improved version of the sequel was introduced under the brand Chevrolet. With this improved vehicle a high-profile drive over 300 miles (480km) was completed without refueling.
