Chevrolet Omega
The Chevrolet Omega is one of the Brazilian branch of the U.S. carmaker Chevrolet offered in 1992 model of the upper middle class.
The first Chevrolet Omega, it was a produced in Brazil replica of the Opel Omega A. The program featured sedan and wagon (under the name Suprema) in versions 2.0 and 3.0 GLS CD. First drive side stood a 2.0-liter inline four-cylinder and a 3.0-liter straight-six to choose from, which made a 2.2 liter four cylinder and a 4.1-liter six-cylinder in place since 1995.
The first Omega was in 1999 replaced by the successor referred to in Brazil Omega B, in which it is an imported version of the Holden Commodore produced about the same time. The Commodore is itself technically related to the Opel Omega B. The Omega B exist in Brazil only as a four-door; to 1995 was a 3.8 L V6 with 149 kW (203hp) to drive, since there was a more modern 3.6-liter V6 with 193 kW (262hp).
Mid-2007, the new generation of the Holden Commodore as Omega C in Brazil was introduced. In Australia, the new model had already appeared a year earlier.
