Chevrolet Constantia
Holden Brougham – luxury car produced by the Australian Holden company from July 1968 to 1971.
Car structurally based on the Holden Premier of the same year, extended by 200 mm was part of the luggage With the Prime Minister seized radiator grille with four round headlights. Holden Brougham was a response to the successful Ford Fairlane.
HK Brougham series was put into production in July 1968, coincided in time with the presentation of the new Monaro coupe. He later made two more generations of Brougham, HT and HG July 1969 in August 1970.
Brougham was available only with automatic transmissions, initially it was a 2-speed gearbox, the HG series boxes mounted 3-stage. HK series was available V8 Small Block Chevrolet with a capacity of 5.0 l. Brough HT and HG can be equipped with the new 5.0 V8 Holden.
Successor Brougham was in 1971 a new brand of luxury vehicles Statesman. It was based on a redesigned platform HQ
In the years 1969-1971 Brougham was offered in South Africa as the Chevrolet Constantia. Constantia distinguished by a different radiator grille and turn signals. As a source of power used Chevrolet R6 engine with a capacity of 4.1 l.
