Austin Light Six
The Chevrolet Light Six Series L was a mid-size car that was produced from 1914-1915 as a lighter version of the Chevrolet Classic Six. The vehicle was introduced in late 1913 and was only available as a 5-seater touring car in black and blue or gray finish. Chassis and wheels were blue. It had a side-valve six-cylinder in-line engine. The machine with 4441 cm3 displacement developed an output of 35hp (26 kW). The engine power was a Cone clutch and a manual three-speed transmission to the rear wheels forward. The rear wheels were fitted with drum brakes. The selling price was 1475, – U.S. $.
1915, the car was built without further changes (the only six-cylinder of the brand after loss of the Classic Six) and set the following year with no successor. It originated around 3000 copies.
