Renault 11
Renault 9 and Renault 11 is a compact class cars (segment C), differing only in the type of body, manufactured by Renault in 1981-1988 and by the Turkish Oyak-Renault plants in the years 1986-1999.
R9 and R11 to replace the 1982 model Renault 14 Renault 9 had a body type coupe (two-or four-door) or a convertible Renault 11 hatchback (three or five-door). Renault 9 was elected Car of the Year 1982.
Renault 9 and Renault 11 were also sold in North America under the names of Alliance and Encore. In both models mounted 1.4 liter engine (1983-1986) and 1.7 engines and 2.0 liter (1985-1987). Both models were also produced in Turkey by Oyak-Renault, Renault 9 in the years 1986-1999 and Renault 11 in 1987-1995.
On the European markets, both models have been replaced by model Renault 19 in 1988.
