Renault 10
Renault 8 (Renault R8 until 1964) and Renault 10 – compact cars produced by the French company Renault in the 60s and 70s. Production of the R8 was launched in 1962, R10 (better-equipped version of the R8) and in 1965, production and sales of both models was completed in France in 1971. Production on the territory of Bulgaria was completed a year earlier, in Spain in 1976. In Romania 8 was produced under license as the Dacia 1100 years 1968-1971.
Renault’s design refers to the front-prototype Alfa Romeo – tipo 103, because it was a business relationship in which there were Renault and Alfa Romeo in the 50s and 60s Renault introduced to market cars Alfa Romeo and Alfa Romeo produced the Dauphine (1959-1964), Ondine (better-equipped version of the Dauphine) (1961-1962) and R4 licensed in Italy (1962-1964). R8 (model R1130) was released in July 1962, based on its predecessor, the Renault Dauphine. In 1964, released on the market a stronger version 8 Major (model R1132) was powered engine capacity of 1108cc generates power of 50hp. Also this year presented an even stronger version 8 Gordini R1134. It had a modified engine of the same capacity growing power of 90 hp. It uses the five-speed manual gearbox with close ratios. Gordini was available only in blue, glued with two white stripes. In 1965, Renault presented 10 Major, a more luxurious version 8, stand it another look rear and front belt and more luxurious facilities.
In 1967, 8 Gordini (model R1135) has undergone a slight upgrade from the front you will see the two lamps, used engine capacity increased to 1,255cc, which increased its power to 104hp.
