• Nissan Terranaut

The concept car Nissan Terranaut was a SUV which was presented at the Geneva Motor Show 2006. Nissan developed it for the needs of scientists, geologists, archaeologists or adventurers with just 3 seats. The controls consisted of a spherical pod that could turn the driver quickly to a desired position. The Terranaut was only 2 feet high and wide and 4,965 meters long. This extra space was to create a mini-laboratory for the Use to accommodate the terrain. The equipment was provided so that was guaranteed cooling for objects without continuous operation of the vehicle up to a week. Tents and sleeping bags were stored in the doors storage compartments.

On the outside of the car allowed less overhang and good ground clearance to cross rough terrain. Instead of a trunk of Terranaut offered an air lock drawer, which still allowed a laboratory analysis on the vehicle. External displays and touch screens in the rear allowed access to data stored in the vehicle. A controlled atmosphere in the interior came through the use of highly reflective glass, the sun, snow or ice from the Disturbance of scientific analysis in the vehicle held.

A glass dome over the rear roof allowing an easy escape route in the event of an emergency. The roof also had a circular housing for satellite positioning equipment. The doors were opened electrically by touch pad.
