Isuzu Hombre

The Isuzu Hombre is a pickup based on the Chevrolet S-10, the General Motors at its plant in Shreveport, Louisiana, USA produced for Isuzu. It replaced the built in what was then operated jointly with Subaru Subaru of Indiana Automotive plant Isuzu Faster and was only offered in North America. In contrast to the Chevrolet S-series there was the Hombre only with a smaller range of models and equipment packages. The Hombre differed from the S-series and its GM sister models in the front area by other headlights, grille and bumper. The fenders were also shaped differently, which also led to different rear windows, since they had to be coordinated with the wheel arch. This construction was the same as the Brazilian Chevrolet S10. The Hombre had the Chevrolet S-Series 15 x 7 steel wheels (painted in black instead of silver) depending on the version, or the S-10 aluminum wheels, each with Isuzu logo Hub caps.

The drive was a four-cylinder engine with 2.2 liter displacement and an output of 118-120hp (87-88 kW) in combination with a 5-speed manual transmission and front-wheel drive for use. 1997 and 1998, a V6 engine with 4.3 liters displacement and an output of 140-190hp (110-140 kW) was available in conjunction with a 4-speed automatic transmission and all-wheel drive.
