Infiniti Essence
The Infiniti Essence is a concept vehicle, the Infiniti produced to commemorate the 20th anniversary of the founding of Infiniti. With the Essence Infiniti wanted to demonstrate its technological expertise. The public was presented with a hybrid drive for the first time in 2011 at the Geneva Motor Show, the sports car. The design developed Infiniti design director Takashi Nakajima. Series production was not planned, but elements of the car should in future Infiniti Models are built.
The hybrid drive consists of a 3.7 liter 24 valve DOHC twin turbo V6 petrol engine with 320 kW (440hp) and an electric motor called 3D with 120 kW, making a total output of 440 kW (600hp) is reached. The electric motor is powered by a lithium ion secondary battery with electricity.
