Chrysler Conquest
Mitsubishi Starion – door sports car manufactured by Mitsubishi in 1982-1989. Was equipped with a turbocharged engine driving the rear wheels R4. In the U.S., was sold under the name Conquest by Chrysler, Dodge and Plymouth; Production was completed in 1989. Though the car was not the first road vehicle equipped with a turbocharged petrol engine (earlier it was such a Porsche 911 (1975), Saab 99 (1978) and the Mitsubishi Lancer EX 2000 Turbo (1980)), Starion is considered a propagator and a pioneer in the newly formed segment in the Japanese automotive industry – turbocharged sports cars.
