Chevrolet Corsica
Chevrolet Corsica – a car produced by General Motors in the years 1987-1996. Corsica was based on the L-body platform also used in the Chevrolet Beretta. There were two body styles and four equipment variants. Initially, Corsica was sold only as a 4-door sedan, 1989-91 was also available as a 5-door hatchback. This model was produced with Beretta in Wilmington, Delaware, and Linden, New Jersey.
In 1987 Corsica was sold only car rental companies and companies (pre-order). Corsica and Beretta were in second place in the ranking of best-selling cars in the U.S. in 1988. In base trim handles are silver color, version Corsica LT/LTZ had black. Hatchback was introduced with 1989, at the same time the package is presented for improving the performance LTZ.
The end of production of the basic version, the sales are variants LT and LTZ. Engines available in the model now have a greater capacity. Small changes in the interior, especially in the cockpit.

The engine with a capacity of 3.1 l with OBD-I is replaced by a new series of engines 3100 the next generation of OBD. The new version of the OBD was not compatible with previous versions of OBD-I and OBD-II but contained elements common to previous generations. General Motors ceased production models Beretta and Corsica in 1996. Successor is Chevrolet Malibu.
