Cadillac BLS (Europe only)
Cadillac BLS – middle-class car produced by General Motors brand Cadillac in the Swedish Saab factory in Trollhättan and the Russian Kaliningrad intended exclusively for the European markets.
In March 2005, on the Motor Show in Geneva presented studio model codenamed Cadillac BLS. The official premiere of the series took place in September 2005 at the lounge in Frankfurt am Main. The design was based model based on the platform floor codenamed Epsilon, which was used to develop, among others, Chevrolet Malibu, Fiat Croma, Opel Vectra, Opel Signum, and the Saab 9-3.
Production of the Cadillac BLS was launched in early 2006 in the Saab plant in Trollhattan, Sweden. Initially, to drive a car there are three petrol engines and one Diesel: 2.0T with a displacement of 1998cc and a power of 175hp or 210hp, 2.8T V6 with a displacement of 2792cc and a power of 255hp and the 1.9 TiD with a capacity of 1910cc and 150hp. The front suspension of the vehicle was based on the MacPherson strut and shock absorbers gas. In multi-link rear axle was used and coil springs.
During the motor show in Frankfurt in September 2007 presented the Cadillac BLS Wagon body styles in the station wagon version. This model was introduced in November of 2007. In the same period, to offer joined new engine versions: 2.0T FlexPower 200hp bioethanol and diesel-powered 1.9 TTiD engine with 180hp.
Production of the Cadillac BLS was completed in August 2009, due to limited interest in this car on the market. The production took over the Russian company Avtotor, which produced the car until 2010.
Standard accessories include Vehicle air conditioning, alloy wheels, trip computer, cruise control, ABS, ESP, six airbags, active head restraints. Optionally, you can equip the car was in a BOSE sound system, satellite navigation with touch screen, automatic air conditioning.
