• AC 2-Litre

AC 2 Litre – luxury car produced by the AC in 1947-1956. Was available as a two-, and since 1953 as a four-door sedan, a small number of copies as well as a drophead coupé and "Buckland" tourer.

To drive helped inline six-cylinder engine powered with three carburetors, which allowed to achieve power 74hp (55.2 kW). Power was increased in 1951 to 85hp (63.4 kW).

Body is made from aluminum plates attached to the wooden frame, the whole mounted on a conventional steel was the chassis. The car used rigid axles and leaf springs and hydraulic shock absorbers. For 1951 the car was assembled hybrid braking system – front axle was hydraulically controlled, while at the back through the tendon. For ten years, the production of the car lived to minor amendments in 1951 increased bit diameter tires.

British automotive magazine The Motor tested in 1948, a two-door saloon version of the car. Measured maximum speed was 130km/h, acceleration 0-100 vehicle took 19.9 secondsAverage fuel consumption per 100km measured during the tests was 12 liters. Tested copies cost 1,277 pounds.
