Toyota Corolla Verso
Toyota Corolla Verso – a compact sedan built on the floorpan Toyota Corolla.
Toyota Corolla debuted in 2001. The model does not have a direct successor. Corolla was based largely on the IX-generation Toyota Corolla. Model was not successful in Europe. The greatest popularity enjoyed Corolla in Turkey, Russia and Japan, where it was produced until 2009 under the name Corolla Spacio. The production was completed in 2004. Successor to debut in 2005.
The first generation, produced in 2001-2004 did not refer to commercial success because of the price, because it was produced in Japan, while the second (produced since 2004) is a very popular car, produced in the 5 and 7-seater versions. The car has received five stars in the EuroNCAP safety tests. The disadvantage was rather high price, despite the transfer of production to Turkey. Model underwent a facelift. At the Geneva Motor Show in 2009 presented the successor to the Toyota Verso name. The model is based this time on the bottom plate of the Toyota Avensis III. Verso has replaced not only the Corolla model, but also a model Avensis Verso.
The offer Corolla Verso was available petrol engines (1.6 and 1.8 110hp 129hp) and a turbodiesel (2.0 D4D 116hp in the initial period of production and 2.2 D4D 136hp and 177hp 2.2 D4D in the final).
