Subaru XT

The Subaru XT (in other countries also known as Alcyone or vortex) is a sports coupe with all-wheel drive, which was offered in Germany from 1985 to 1991. Due to its wedge shape, it has a very low drag coefficient (Cd-value = 0.29). Technically, the vehicle is closely related to the Subaru L-series and builds largely on identical vehicle parts. In Germany, the XT was a rarity. He found a total of only 1056 buyers. Typical of Japanese coupes 1980s are the pop-up headlights.

The Subaru XT in Europe only with a water-cooled four-cylinder OHC aluminum boxer engine with 1800cc capacity with water-cooled turbocharger (engine code EA82T) and thus 100 kW (first series from 1985 to 1987 without G-Kat) (88 kW with G- Kat). The pneumatic suspension is height-adjustable. It descends in the raised position automatically from 80km/h for security reasons (as well as partly in the Subaru L-series). Furthermore, it has ventilated disc brakes on the front axle, rear disc brakes easily. As more equipment is also a hill start help available.
