• Isuzu Tiejingang

The Isuzu VehiCROSS was a sporty SUV of the Japanese vehicle manufacturer Isuzu, which was offered only on the Japanese (1997-1999), Chinese (1997-1999) and U.S. market (1999-2001). The car possessed standard with the so-called torque-on-demand all-wheel drive as well as engines from Isuzu Trooper. A total of only 5958 vehicles were built in five years, including in 1805 for the home market of Japan and 4153 for export to the United States. In the People’s Republic of China, however, was offered the model of the Qingling Motors in small numbers under the name Isuzu Tiejingang (五十铃 铁 金刚), which means as much as iron king.

The Isuzu VehiCROSS was winning his class at the Paris-Dakar Rally in 1998 and 1999. Also in 1999 he won the "Most Unique styling" of the automobile trade magazine Motor Trend.

The prototype Isuzu VXO2 came in the movie Mission to Mars, and several VehiCROSS were used in the television series Mutant X.
