Fiat Tipo
Fiat Tipo – C-segment car produced between 1988-1995 by the Italian company FIAT. Floor plate also used the other models FIAT Group.
In January of 1988 years Fiat unveiled the new model – Tipo, which was the successor to the Fiat Ritmo. The car was introduced many innovative, at that time technical solutions. Fiat Tipo had a wide range of gasoline and some diesel engines. The car was designed by the Italian office IDEA. Almost 70% of the body was galvanized, which improved corrosion protection. Auto had a very spacious and comfortable interior. In this way, in 1989, earned a Fiat Tipo Car of the Year (beating the Opel Vectra and Volkswagen Passat).
In 1993, Fiat Tipo underwent modernization (changed the front end, improved corrosion protection and the safety car).
Also in 1993, the sales went 3-door Tipo, which usually was better equipped and had more powerful engines with a larger capacity.
The production model in Italy was completed in October 1995. Successor was Tipo Fiat Bravo and Fiat Brava.
In 1995-1997, the model was produced in Betim in Brazil by Fiat Automóveis.
